- kirmerzlikin 2y ago"More importantly, its intended targets are unaccompanied ships that may be carrying contraband" I wonder what kind of contraband the ship has to carry to warrant the use of a bomb to tear said ship in half
- tatersolid 2y agoWeapons of war. The Houthis are getting missiles from Iran via smuggling ships, probably quite similar to the ship in the video.
- ynniv 2y agoLooks like a JDAM with IR and radar final guidance. The attack is also interesting: instead of hitting the ship it aims a little to the side and explodes underwater: https://www.twz.com/new-look-at-air-forces-ship-killing-smart-bomb-in-action-seeker-details-revealed https://www.twz.com/new-look-at-air-forces-ship-killing-smar... Apparently the term for this is UNDEX: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underwater_explosion https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underwater_explosion
- pfdietz 2y agoThat ship had a gross tonnage of ~5700 tons.
