- yunohn 2y agoTarget Disk Mode requires shutting down and putting the macOS device into that mode. Usually to migrate files from your old to new laptop while setting it up. On the contrary, the article shows 2 normally switched-on laptops connected by a cable doing a live transfer whenever you want.
