It's helpful here. From the title you would expect it to be retrospective a few years into the past. What makes this interesting is that the blog started this year, which seems rare.

HN convention is to have the date of publication in parenthesis, so it still came across as “this is a retrospective post written in 2024”. Before commenting I noticed the submitter is a fairly recent user and they have done the same on the previous submission, which made me think perhaps they’re confused as to when the date should be added, otherwise I wouldn’t have commented.
