My big takeaway is that Google has a Common Lisp Style Guide. Makes you wonder what they use Common Lisp for.
- bitwize 2y agoThey acquired ITA Software in like 2012. ITA's QPX search engine is largely written in Common Lisp. Unlike Sony, q.v. in another comment thread, Google decided not to mess too much with a good thing and let them keep their Lisp codebase without following bitwize's corollary to Greenspun's Tenth Rule (every sufficiently complicated Common Lisp or Scheme program will eventually be rewritten in C++, Java, or Python).
