All megacorp recommendation algos are shit just because they always binded to some media library. Get yourself on any torrent website with lots of music releases and you will unleash what is the meaning of "musical taste". I recommend to have at least 10Tb disk drive to have no reasons to delete any releases.
- layer8 2y agoYouTube Music is an exception regarding “some media library”, because basically everything is on YouTube thanks to user uploads.
- eimrine 2y agoYoutube Music have no lossless, its "tracks" have no metadata and are stored in pesky format with a lot of stupid limitations about receiving them. Seems you just do not know what is a good music and how it even looks on your filesystem. And good luck about acknowledging (not even receiving) every existing recording of your favorite artist; discography.
- layer8 2y agoIt's perfectly fine for streaming and getting music recommendations, which is the topic of this thread. For the local music library I then purchase lossless versions of the tracks I like.
