In Firefox, just add a bookmark for https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&sort=byPopularity&type=all&query=%s https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&so..., edit it and add a keyword like "hn". Then type in the address bar: "hn whatever" and it will show you SERP for whatever.
Another way is to add the OpenSearch engine (https://mycroftproject.com/install.html?id=84751&basename=hackernews_search&icontype=gif&name=Hacker+News+Search+%28via+hn.algolia.com%29 https://mycroftproject.com/install.html?id=84751&basename=ha...) to Firefox and assign a shortcut key to it: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/assign-shortcuts-search-engines https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/assign-shortcuts-search...
