Have you seen that Video Game Motion Artists are on strike against AI? [0]
It would be interesting to see if your protocol could be used in reverse, whereby you put sensors on a Human doing a thing, and have your elegant protocol record the positional elements to be replayed on animatronic bot?
The other thing that I thought might be interesting is controlling the system with Geometry Nodes, specifically a Vector Node with Named Attrbutes to drive animations that can be used to drive both an animated (digital asset) and a physical asset (robot)
If you're not too familiar with Blender's geometry nodes, this series of videos by @HarryBlends on YT are fantastic.
The best thing is that you can control the geometry nodes via python scripts within blender - and capture vector attributes etc...
