The space may be ripe for disruption. But how will that lead to people hosting their own servers?
In other words, how do you see this playing out? Replacing one search engine with another? Funded by not-ads?
- cookiengineer 2y agoI think this is untapped potential of peer to peer networking, where your (subscribed) social circles reflect discoverability of content. Funding for maintenance and development should be seen as operational costs of the network, not as a startup exit strategy.
