This question becomes easy if you think about it algebraically/mathematically, but comically hard thinking about it intuitively, as in, trying to reason with language.
bat=ball+$1
(ball+$1)+ball=$1.10
2ball + $1 = $1.10
2ball = $0.10
ball = $0.05
