Sonos considers relaunching its old app
- teekert 2y agoI do like that pull up thing for the individual speakers, that should be right there, always. And I just occasionally use the app so for me the new app does feel like an improvement. That said, for the new and old app, I'm always annoyed by how long it takes to just start playing music. App needs to load (why?), search result/library needs to load, stream needs to start, there may be an update in the way. So much friction. It would be nice to just have a way to say: If I hit the hardware play button on top of my Sonos:1, start playing randomly from my "liked songs" playlist, but do so in 5 miliseconds, just be ready for it, cash it, have the stream ready muted, whatever...
