I'm far from an expert in this area, but as I understand it, neutrino and anti-neutrino detectors have some application in nuclear non-proliferation, as you can use them to identify the whereabouts of nuclear reactors, and maybe even fissile materials if your detector is close enough. I wonder if this new neutrino detector has similar potential applications?
