- johng 2y agoIt is quite pathetic that the trend now seems to be that you can ignore Congress. If they ask you a question, you can give non answers, blatantly ignore the question, even lie without repercussions. You can even ignore congressional subpoenas. It's quite sad to watch.
- sirspacey 2y agoWhy? I used to watch C-Span because it was often educational. Now everyone is just campaigning, 24/7. Congress isn’t asking questions. They are making statements in the (sometimes) format of a question which is often just “do you agree with what I just said?” I’m all for Congress having the power to investigate issues of importance to the American people. But we’ve got only one scientist in the entire thing and a large number of people with questionable intelligence & ethics. There just doesn’t seem much merit to the effort.
