Zeekr announces new LFP batteries that can recharge an EV 10-80% in 10.5 minutes
- neom 2y agoIf you're as confused as I was, that isn't a range (although they don't clarify in the article) - I think it's saying it can do 70% charge in 10.5 minutes.
- thebruce87m 2y agoYes, but only that specific 70% increase in charge takes 10.5 minutes. Charging 30% to 100% would take much longer since the charging rate drops as you approach 100%.
- bdcravens 2y agoSpecifically, once you hit 80% the speed slows dramatically, hence all discussion revolves around that percentage.
- bdcravens 2y agoCorrect; it mirrors they way charging speed is marketed. For example, from the page for the EV6: "Can charge from 10% to 80% w/ DC Fast Chargers in 18 min"
- Tiktaalik 2y agoPretty incredible situation where the USA (and potentially its ally Canada) are trying hard to ensure that its citizens can't use the top quality, most high tech products available. When else has that happened?
- extraduder_ire 2y agoAnyone know how many watts that is peak/average? I couldn't see a number mentioned on the page. Even at 800V DC, that's got to be a nutty amount of current.
