Aren't some of these things misleading? I don't know of anyone who uses VS Code without extensions, and some of those produced by Microsoft are closed source.

Aren't some of these things misleading? I don't know of anyone who uses VS Code without extensions, and some of those produced by Microsoft are closed source. Can you really do meaningful Python work in VS Code without the Python extension, for example?
