Should a potential contributor get involved with Python development, or keep a safe distance? The decision isn't obvious, and conflicts of this kind place a lot of weight on the wrong side of the scale.
- Ancapistani 2y agoIt is obvious, and I’ve made it. I had planned to join PyPA - attended a sprint, even had a fairly significant PR ready to submit. Then some drama started behind the scenes and I saw one of my friends drug through the mud by almost exactly the sort of thing this article is about. I “noped” right out of there. Deleted the PR, and will never be associated with that group.
