- theGeatZhopa 2y agoWhat is real AI :) it's all ML. Chatgpt is just a flavor of ML called (attention? transformer?) LLM. But, you're right. It's the best and clearest bet you can bet on. you can't lose: Later it will need a subscription.
- Iulioh 2y ago""normal ML"" could be run on device or be so small to not be a burden on the service provider (think mail filtering) and not need a subscription, so by "real AI" i mean chatbots as that's the marketing to consumers for now
- theGeatZhopa 2y agoYeah the chatbots will ruin us. The energy consumption is way more than in mining bitcoins. But also, "normal ML" is also a source for earnings and a reason to want higher prices (and subscription) by other means. There was a washing machine that automatically adjusted the volume of the washing agent added, depending on the types of clothes and grade if dirtyness. But, the washing agent was only available in capsules, which are higher in price. So, why one would want that? IDK. But ok, as time go by, the technology will be updated.
