A conference I helped organise had a lot of “AI” and “LLM” submissions. We had a blanket rule of ignoring all of them since they mostly sucked anyway. Meanwhile another conference I am going to has several “machine learning” talks which could have been titled something more informative like “image analysis” or “regression modelling”.
