About kerning. Uppercase Finnish is a nightmare. Odd pairs like LJ and KY and TY . How about an option to let some letter pairs touch ?
It also creates a tendency to use quite light font weights for all-uppercase text, so that whitespace is not so prominent.
- chevyray 2y agoNot a bad suggestion at all. Lots of fonts even provide ligatures for certain letter pairs so they can touch, but tweak them so they look a bit better. That kind of thing is another level of polish that I could definitely do, or even just providing more spaced variations.
