I do like their clear take on the idea that the AI hype is is the long tail if Big Data hype. That it is the idea of getting machine learning/training to find the information in the data rather than explicitly spelling out what to find.
- tim333 2y agoThere's some truth in the idea that current AI is maybe a bit like big data in that it's not providing huge value against the cost to produce it. But the future prospects are quite different - see all the AI sci fi movies vs the zero big data movies.
