10-15 years ago, Intel was this juggernaut that could not be stopped and was so far ahead of everyone else that competition didn’t truly exist. We all saw how that turned out. Everything I’ve read about TSMC and the Arizona fab gives me the feeling that their top-down rigid culture and dismissiveness toward ideas that come from the “wrong” people will eventually lead to a fall from the top that is similar to what Intel experienced.
