I personally have a hard time being creative. But the more I dug into it to comment on the post, the more I thought it was a series of emotional defenses rather than something intrinsic to the disorder. Creativity is inherently going to involve "coloring outside the lines" and that's psychologically hard to do when surprising reactions are painful to deal with.
