In some companies, this is a silent layoff. Especially in west europe, its easier to say "well if you don't like it, quit yourself"
- favorited 2y agoThe side-effect is that the people who will be most willing to leave are those who are the most confident about their job prospects in the market. You could be silently laying off your top performers, while people with less knowledge or experience stay around because finding a new job will be harder for them.
