Whenever I think about living forever, my first question is… who is going to pay for it? To me, it feels like the idea of living forever, at least in modern capitalism (and post 1776), is just a way to keep on feeding the capitalism machine. So is the end game here to be enslaved forever to a job? Unless we somehow become enlightened enough to have UBI or simply move away from a capitalist system, living forever seems like an endless hell for the majority, and yet more opportunity for the wealthy to compound their wealth and maintain their reign on society. The real question here is who are true beneficiaries of living forever, and how do the rest of us pay for the repercussions.
