We do somehow live with skyscrapers and elevators though. Earthquakes occur regularly in some of the densest, most vertical cities like Tokyo. You might even imagine that the kinetic energy from a quake could be absorbed and stored, where it makes sense to engineer it
- downrightmike 2y agoIt isn't anywhere near the same thing. Think of it like a really bad earth dam looming over the land, it will fail and fail terribly
