Stripe blocks small dev sales and wants to refund $100k from legit purchases
- mtmail 2y agoI wondered how the webpage https://lo.cafe/notchnook https://lo.cafe/notchnook managed to sell $100k in download. I mean one cannot even zoom in on the screenshot, there's no list of features. Then I saw the tool was reviewed on, for example https://www.theverge.com/2024/7/21/24202914/notchnook-mac-app-dynamic-island-iphone https://www.theverge.com/2024/7/21/24202914/notchnook-mac-ap... recently. That might explain the sudden success. For a payment provider it must have looked unusual (their decision is still bad). "I already hired a lawyer, you will get sued" https://x.com/IMarcossi/status/1821036296422236596/photo/1 https://x.com/IMarcossi/status/1821036296422236596/photo/1 doesn't work with all customer support. Some will stop any support and connect you to their legal department instead.
