In the U.S. there is a private long term care insurance (LTCI) market. If tests to predict Alzheimer's work, insurance companies should be allowed to require such tests during their underwriting, or the LTCI market may disappear due to adverse selection, as only people who test positive for likely future Alzheimer's buy LTCI.
