I got a battery powered vacuum cleaner, and it's pretty nice to not have a cord. The one thing I don't get is why the battery is at the top where you hold it instead of near the bottom: it would be much lighter to hold for the wrist, and in addition if the weight were at the bottom it'd press the head better to the floor
