This is my favorite reply, because it's exactly right. No one is stopping you from mixing and matching paradigms either! You can extend CoffeeScript classes with extra mixins. I think CoffeeScript's class keyword does a great job at what it's trying to do: make all the complexities of prototypical inheritance accessible to the average person who just wants simple object-oriented classes. CoffeeScript is just JavaScript.
