Tvision – A modern port of Turbo Vision 2.0
- ochronus 2y agoOMG such a blast from the past :) I used to create a lot of TV interfaces back in the days
- snvzz 2y ago>Keeping it functional on DOS/Windows. Love it.

- anta40 2y agoAhh interesting. macOS is supported. But for Windows... gotta use Cygwin. If memory serves me well, FreeVision (the one supplied with FreePascal) supports Windows natively.
- pjmlp 2y agoA great framework, the version introduced with Turbo Pascal 6.0 taught me about good framework OOP design. It is incredible that we already had a powerful framework (granted TUI only), that has plenty of components, serialisation, reflection, collections, and common FP like patterns like map/filter/forecast,.... All for MS-DOS, targeting 640 KB systems. Meanwhile people ship Chrome alongside their calculator app nowadays.
- OldSchool 2y agoThis stuff was fast on a 486, despite ~3000x lower performance compared to a modern single cpu core.

- SuperNinKenDo 2y agoI remember seeing the precursor project and really wanting to give it a go, but lack of Unicode meant it was a no-go at the time. Pretty excited to play with this now.
