I don’t think the issue with Biden was ageism. It was more that he had cognitive decline which often comes with age. I think moderates and conservatives were also not happy with the gaslighting that tried to cover up and deny Biden’s mental decline. But it wasn’t solely about age, although some people summarized the situation by saying “he’s too old”, which I agree is ageist in itself.
- thaanpaa 2y agoJudging by his recent podcast appearances, he is probably still fine. But it's also clear that he won't be for long, and it would have almost felt cruel had he been serving as president in his final years. He seems like the type of guy who'd rather spend time with his family and grandchildren.
