How to help parents give their children better education? (2023)
- dash2 2y agoDespite the title, this actually has a set of interesting recommendations for maths books for children.
- programjames 2y agoI found the last half of the essay more interesting so I linked and titled that. Sorry for the confusion!
- chrisjj 2y ago> Why does the system generate huge numbers of rubbish material Case in point, Mr Cummins.
- programjames 2y agoI'm not British. Is Cummins not terribly liked in the UK?
- beardyw 2y agoUnder his watch there was a massive disinformation campaign using data from Cambridge Analytica which narrowly secured the Brexit vote.
- programjames 2y agoAh, that would do it. I've just been reading some of his posts and watched his podcast with Chris Williamson[1], and he seems like a rather smart, earnest guy trying to do his best to help out the country. He did mention the whole bureaucracy is rather dysfunctional and the general feel of this post[2] was that a catastrophe was another Tuesday at 11am, so maybe he just didn't know there was a fire to put out?
