They didn't mention LIGO data correlating or refuting this work. Is that because LIGO is at different frequencies from the PTA so it's not useful here?

- PaulHoule 2y agoYep. LIGO is good from 10 Hz to 10 kHz https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2016PhRvD..93k2004M/abstract https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2016PhRvD..93k2004M/abstra... which will catch the last minutes or so of two black holes spiraling into each other. (I saw a talk on this at the Physics Colloquium at Cornell in the late 1990s when LIGO was still a dream) The PTA is sensitive to the 10^-9-10^-7 Hz range https://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/full_html/2024/03/aa48084-23/aa48084-23.html https://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/full_html/2024/03/aa48084-... which catches radiation from supermassive long black holes for a long long time in which they are slowly approaching each other.
