I remember I got one of the first butterfly keyboard macbook airs when they came out and the thing manifested the double-keypresses within a week. I took it back to the Apple Store immediately and the guy said "oh we've seen that a load of times" and just gave me the money back. I think I got lucky on that one.
Glad to see people are getting some compensation at least for that crapfest.
- thejazzman 2y agoI had one of the first butterfly KBs, which I think was the non Air 12"? Apple Genius verbally berated me for 5 minutes lecturing me on how I shouldn't be eating near the machine etc (I didn't). I had to get a manager to get basic customer service. A few days later corporate called and asked if they could keep it / the hardware team wanted to see it. Sent me a new one. And it happened again. Today is the sweetest $395 I've ever received.
