I think it is kind of misconception by connecting introvertness vs. extrovertness to preference for remote communication vs IRL communication. I am quite introvert, IRL talk is exhausting for me, but online chat or writing e-mails is even more so. If i wanted to discuss nontrivial things with work colleagues, i prefer to do it IRL in office than using online chat. My friend is very extrovert, spends plenty of time socializing IRL and chatting online or writing e-mails. But for work communication, he definitely prefers WFH with online chat.
