Package Manager for Verilog
- sathvikr 2y agoIt's sort of like pip install. Just do vpm install <repo_name> and it loads the whole repository's IP in the right place with proper dependencies auto-setup, etc. I'm working on the command vpm install --flex <repo_name> which understands your codebase and modifies the installed repository's .v files to suit your requirements, since a lot of "general IP" isn't useful.
- graysond 2y agoWhich vendors does it have support for?
- spec_inferior 2y agoIf it has support for Xilinx/AMD then its a hard buy for me.
- sathvikr 2y agoYes it does! Just run curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/getinstachip/vpm/main/install.sh https://raw.githubusercontent.com/getinstachip/vpm/main/inst... | bash Let me know what u think!

- oblivious123 2y agoIs this similar to the FuseSoC package manager? I tried using it before but it required too much maintenance on my part for it to be functional. I would be interested in trying out VPM, could we move to DMs?
