Ettore Majorana
- slwvx 2y agoThe link is to the wikipedia page for Ettore Majorana. Is there some non-obvious reason that the link is labeled "Errors Majorana", or is it just a (bad) joke on the similarity of "Ettore" and "errors"?
- gus_massa 2y agoMy guess is that it was caused by a bad autocorrection.
- Kiro 2y agoI read the whole thing expecting to learn about the Error I thought was named after him. Still a good read though.
- cozzyd 2y agoA Majorana error is where the problem and solution are the same. Like caffeine.
- piannucci 2y agoI think you’re putting the right spin on this.
- dang 2y agoFixed now. Thanks!

- hilbert42 2y agoSpeculation about Ettore Majorana is both never-ending and fascinating. Whenever I think or hear about the Majorana particle I can't help but also think that it shares some of its 'ephemeral' characteristics with those of the person it's named after. The Majorana mystery is even more perplexing than that seemingly irrational act of that idiotic genius Évariste Galois. At least with Galois one can come up with plausible motives.
