It didn't affect all bins for any particular stepping code. My 1600AE was fine, too.
I don't remember there being a lot of resistance from AMD for RMAs once it was fixed in hardware (although, I'm sure people were being whipped into a panic over everything by tech youtubers). AMD also commonly bumped replacements to a higher model.
