The danger is that AI will be devilishly creative and wrap the majority of the humanity with a logically perfect ideology that equates humans with machines, and once they fully internalize that ideology, they'll complete spiritual self-destruction. And those few wise enough to find holes in the AI ideology will be quickly isolated.
