Delta CEO: 'When was the last time you heard of a big outage at Apple?'
- kaappi 2y agoDidn't hear per se, but Apple dev console was working badly one day around a month ago. Had to delay a release due to builds and sometimes the app page not loading at all. I remember the status page being all green.

- orochimaaru 2y agoCan’t Delta’s IT department certify crowdstrike and other updates to windows before they’re rolled out? CrowdStrike definitely messed up big time here. But if I had critical infra I would never agree to automated updates direct from a vendor.

- orochimaaru 2y agoRapid deployment for kernel drivers is a disaster (as we just saw). Somethings should not be rapidly deployed. Of course it’s hard to explain this point to anyone in C suite making the deals.
