- pm2222 2y agoHuh? Why? Still trademarked? >> Official explained there had been a misunderstanding and the guidance staff had originally given applies only to people changing their names.
- bell-cot 2y agoWhile the Passport Office doesn't look good here, I have real doubts about giving your kid a trademarked name, especially one from Hollywood. What happens if the kid grows up and wants to do work under her own name...and immediately gets a Cease & Desist from the trademark owner's lawyers? What if the actor you've (in effect) named your kid for has a "change of heart", and becomes associated with causes (or activities) which you (or your kid's classmates & their parents) find abhorrent? What if a new prequel or sequel adds abhorrent things to the fictional character's story?
