I wouldn't pitch this to anyone looking to rent to own. You can get a pretty decent gaming PC for about 600$, start gaming now and upgrade your GPU after a year or so. Then again, I can imagine if you only need a PC for 3 months this is a good deal. But if I had to guess this targeting the same folks as Affirm... We all want shinny things NOW, not tomorrow, not after saving for 8 months, NOW
