Anyway, I found this article extremely well done. First he showed that it was basically an impossibility for Bill Ackman to get this deal done. Then he finished the section, and started another one, and, surprise-surprise, someone actually did exactly that deal. Some type of magician's performance, where you see that a hat has nothing in it, yet a rabbit comes out somehow. For some reason, I haven't read Matt Levine in maybe a year. This is the first Levine piece I read recently, and, man, what a treat it was.
