Automattic | Remote | Full-time | Multiple roles | $110-$210k+ and great benefits
We're looking for engineers to help us build, grow, and maintain products used by over a billion people each month across WordPress.com, WooCommerce, WordPress VIP, Jetpack, Tumblr, Beeper & Texts.com, Day One, Pocket Casts, and many more.
If you love the open web, open source, radical problem ownership, and simple over pure solutions, Automattic is probably the place for you.
We have a distributed, remote, async work environment - and we've had it since we started.

- srelooking 2y agohi Matt, many years ago I was interviewed for the systems engineer position and got feedback the team found someone else that was a better fit, which is totally fine. However, I've reapplied to this position every time it gets re-posted but never even got a non-automated reply. Automattic is a great company and I wish I had another shot at it :)
- Flop7331 2y agoYeah, this is a fake listing. Illusion of growth.
- DamnInteresting 2y agoI would love to work for Automattic. I have been making highly customized sites with WordPress since the early days (I still maintain a WordPress site established in 2005). I applied for an open position not too long ago, and I breezed past the initial screening, but I just couldn't make room in my life for the "trial" part of the process--I have a full time job, a five year old, and a side business. I wish my 20 years of demonstrable comprehensive experience was enough to get my foot in the door. Le sigh.
- mattlohkamp 2y agoHey Matt - question from a fellow Matt - I used to do a ton of WordPress development... like ten years ago. I've been looking at picking it up again, en route to moving into more of a full stack situation - for devs like me, without a lot of recent experience with the latest and greatest version of WP - is there anything you'd look for to reassure you that I wouldn't have any trouble jumping in and picking it back up again?

- burgerrito 2y agoHey this seems to be interesting: The website you linked is blocked in Indonesia.
- winterbloom 2y agouse a vpn; also they probably don't want indonesians applying
- alcaide-mor 2y agoCan someone explain why would a company ask for this: - Please list all current and past job titles that are relevant to this position. and - Please list all current and past companies that you've worked for that are relevant to this position. Specially if you're already uploading your resume? Should I include the names of all the companies I've worked for, again?
- Flop7331 2y agoAhh, another month, this listing is back again, and I still haven't heard anything. Likely fake.
