Hmm I was able to try the model myself (generated a handful of images) and didn't log in.
- SV_BubbleTime 2y agoIt’s a fal login, which is linked/federated with GitHub if you have done that before. It takes zero time to “make an account”.
- wavemode 2y agoI think they may have turned on the gating some time after this was submitted to HackerNews. Earlier this morning I definitely ran the model several times without signing in at all (not via GitHub, not via anything). But now it says "Sign in to run".
