> quantum entanglement could originate inside the brain and give rise to the extra-fast communication between neurons.
Does quantum entanglement allow for "communication" under any definition, in any circumstances?
- gus_massa 2y agoNo. The article makes no sense. The strange part is that it's published in a serious journal. Perhaps the photon emission calculation is good enough, but all the extension to non local properties, consciousness and extra-fast communication is nonsense. In a hot and wet environment like the brain, entangled photons colide with random things randomly and they loose coherence and you can no longer use the entanglement for anything useful. To keep entanglement for long distances you need optic fibers or a very clear line of sight. Relevant xkcd: https://xkcd.com/1240/ https://xkcd.com/1240/
