I'm a CodeCommit customer. I'm ok with deprecation, but I don't understand why they didn't give us users a year to migrate like with QLDB.

- scarface_74 2y agoIt was nice to have everything managed internally by AWS. Because of corporate bureaucracy, it is a lot easier to have complete control over a CodeCommit repository as an admin to AWS accounts than get what I needed it with Githin
- moltar 2y agoThey aren’t turning it off to existing customers though. So you have plenty of time to migrate.
- simlevesque 2y agoYeah hut I have clients that don't have a AWS account yet and I planned on launching one soon and now I need to launch with a new untested git setup. I need to learn about other providers security ASAP to provide the same experience. I see no reason to just stop it completely right after the announcement. This all leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
