You're right, they go through so many interviews (around 370 in our batch) that they probably develop gut feelings about which startups to pick. But like you said, they might have guessed wrong in our case.
- akkartik 14y agoSorry I wasn't clear. The guesswork I was referring to was to figure out the most probing question to ask of each startup. If you guess right you just learned something relevant to the decision. But if you guessed wrong, if you could have asked a more probing question, you might end up accepting a startup you shouldn't have. I don't know enough about your situation, and I wasn't implying any judgement either way. I was just trying to put myself in their shoes.
