Why Does Predicting a Protein's 3D Structure Matter?
- Terr_ 2y agoRandom thought from title: A potential future where it turns out we gave up on the whole 3D-structure problem, because we found some other more-symbolic/abstract modeling that works almost all the time, and 3D structure is just a way to confirm the results. Kind of like how one can do mathematical transformations with fractals on an equation level, without actually rendering the whole thing to an arbitrary level of detail.
