- uberman 2y agoI'm going to disagree. Does that make me an asshole? I'm really not sure. Part asshole is asshole just like a drop of ink in the milk spoils the whole glass. The worse part is that men can often be applauded for being assholes "he just tells it like it is" while women are almost universally reviled for the same behavior. Am I going to be lauded as part asshole if I publicly shame someone in a code review? Does that increase my respect? What if I'm a women and do the same? Will I get the same institutional respect or will I be a bitch who is difficult to work with?
- 6510 2y agoI care about the facts, for me presentation is at best irrelevant, at worse it shows ability for dishonesty. Others might think presentation is everything. Better to be silent and have them think you are an asshole than to talk and remove all doubt.
