Enshittification has finally reached peripherals. I thought this story was a joke at first, but it evidently isn't. I can't imagine what extra services a mouse might offer, except in the role of acting as a dongle for other software. Presumably Logitech will enlighten us before launching this product.
- kmac_ 2y agoEnshittification is actually a hilarious process to watch when you know it's happening and have a way to escape it by switching to an alternative. I escaped from HP, Windows, Reddit, changed banks, and moved to a bunch of other products, sites, and services.
- al_borland 2y agoThe switching cost, and what is given up in the process, isn’t always that funny. I can only find in funny to watch if I was never a customer/user, and even then, I find it more sad than funny.
